Our Design Process
Introduction
An obligation free consultation with your company representative, allows us to ascertain the requirements and scope of works for the fitout. Additionally the company’s goals and aspirations for the resulting fitout will be discussed. This meeting also provides an opportunity to meet and determine our business and design culture and how we can best provide the outcome you require.
Proposal
Based on the initial introduction, we will provide you with a comprehensive fee proposal outlining our understanding of the brief, and any additional services and deliverables that we will produce.
Brief Development + Consultation
This essential step allows a full workshopping of the initial brief provided by the company to create a thorough design brief. During this stage additional supporting information can be created such as Furniture Audits, Storage Audits and Blocking and Stacking for departmental growth and development. At this initial stage it is also imperative to ascertain requirement for ecological fitout considerations, churn, future growth, and technology and company philosophies. Spatial Planning + Test Fit
Based on the information gathered, a design philosophy will be applied to your existing, new floor plan or integrated fitout. By utilising current workplace studies, the most appropriate working styles and planning principles will be applied to your space. Considerations such as adjacencies, storage, technological requirements and security will all be factors in creating the best plan for your fitout.
Concept + Design Development
During all phases of the project, your designer will be concurrently gauging the company's workplace culture, branding and aspirations to create a clear picture of the ideals which you would like embodied in the fitout. The resulting concept will create an overarching cohesive philosophy to the fitout and influence the ambience. Branding, finish selection, staff retention and workplace culture will all be key drivers in creating the concept for the space. Documentation + Specification
A complete set of documentation drawings including such elements as specifications, furniture selections, finishes and joinery drawings will be created. Additional services such as tender packages for workstations and the management of this process can also be provided when required. Liaising with appointed consultants will also take place during the course of the documentation to ensure a fully coordinated design outcome. Administration of Approval Process
At Design Gallery we offer guidance and advice during the approvals processes with Certification and Landlords. Close consultation with the appointed Certifier is included to ensure compliance with relevant codes, along with guidance on OH&S, and Disability in the Workplace requirements.
Project Follow Up
During the Construction phase of the project Design Gallery will be there to handle any RFI’s from builders, on site issues and unexpected complications. Close liaising with Builders and contractors will help to ensure an efficient, uneventful fitout period.
